The jaws are lined out with four long canine teeth in each, and several grinding teeth further back in the mouth. Size : 45 cm | Weight : 1.4 kg EcologyOccur offshore to depths of 200m. Silverfish are carnivorous and feeds on small fish, crab, crab larvae and squid. DistributionSilverfish occur from Saldanha Bay to Port St John's, where they are caught with hand - lines from the vessels. RegulationMinimum legal size - 35cm |
